TAFE NSW - Northern Sydney Institute has introduced a new method of delivering its Certificate IV in Financial Services to better meet the new Bas Service Provider legislation.

Part of the requirements of the new BAS service provider legislation is that Bookkeepers will all be required to have the minimum educational requirements of the Certificate IV in Financial services Accounting or Certificate IV in Bookkeeping.   In order to better meet the needs of both the existing workforce and new entrants, Northern Sydney Institute has developed the Certificate IV Financial Services Accounting as an online course.

This course is available now and students have the option of completing it in 12 months either fully online or with a blend of some college attendance and some online. The online studies will use a facilitated approach with students being enrolled in small cohorts and being assigned a facilitator who will monitor and assist students. The facilitator will be available either by email or phone and we offer a 24-48hour maximum response time to queries.

Recognition of prior learning is also available for the course and employers may also be entitled to government funding through the traineeship program.
